In 2011-12 Anthony Davis had one of the most memorable individual seasons in college basketball history, especially for a freshman. The number-one recruit in the country was met with many expectations as he joined a blue blood program and did not disappoint. Davis used his rare combination of size and guard skills to set himself apart as he led Kentucky to a historic season. After continuing to dominate in the NCAA Tournament, the superstar forward capped it off with a championship-game record-tying six blocks while helping the Wildcats secure the program’s eighth national championship and earning recognition as the most outstanding player in the tournament. As expected, Davis was named the Consensus National Player of the Year as well as Defensive Player of the Year and Freshman of the Year, all of which led to him becoming the number-one pick in the 2012 NBA Draft.
Davis has autographed and inscribed “2012 POY” on this Kentucky Wildcats White Nike jersey in silver paint pen. His signature and inscription are deemed authentic by virtue of Upper Deck Authenticated’s Five-Step Process.
