While a handful of skaters posted statistics similar to those of Joe Sakic, very few won multiple Stanley Cup titles while also serving as captain and one of the most widely respected players in NHL history. Known for precision passing and a wrist shot ranked among the best of anyone who has ever skated, Sakic served as captain for an incredible 16 consecutive seasons while leading the Avalanche to two Stanley Cup championships (1996, 2001). The 13-time All-Star finished his career with 1,641 points, which puts him ninth on the all-time list. This 8”x10” image shows Sakic in his familiar Avalanche jersey with a captain’s “C” on his left shoulder pushing off the ice, gearing up to make a move toward the net with the same image acting as a shadow looming behind him.
