Description
When two roster spots opened up for Team USA, it was apparent that Keldon Johnson would be selected to fill one of the roles. Coaches and teammates recognized his hustle, positive attitude, and skill set, making him an easy addition to the team. Johnson was the first Spurs player to get selected to the USA National Team since Tim Duncan’s selection in 2004. He was the sixth player 21 years old or younger to be on the roster. He also was the sixth player to wear the number 40. The youngster showed the world why he was on the team after his remarkable performance in the final exhibition game against Spain. In only 17 minutes, he was 7-9 from the floor scoring 15 points with three rebounds and two steals. In Tokyo, his best performance was scoring four points, and an assist in USA’s victory over Iran. He would come off the bench in three other games and become a gold medal Olympian with USA’s win over France. This Team USA white Nike jersey is autographed and inscribed “2020 Gold Medal” by Keldon Johnson. Johnson’s signature and inscription were witnessed by an Upper Deck Authenticated representative as part of UDA’s 5-step authentication process. This item is limited to 20.
