Description
The free throw line dunk had been attempted in competition before 1987’s Slam Dunk Contest, most notably by Dr. J. But it hadn’t been perfected until Michael Jordan did it in Seattle. Air Jordan came to be on a global scale when MJ took off from the free throw line and finished this dunk strongly in a move that eventually won him the first of back-to-back Slam Dunk Contest titles. This designed sequence image is captured in black and white here. It’s double-matted and finished with a clean black frame to give it a classical look with a modern twist. Jordan has autographed this framed limited edition (123) “We Have Liftoff” 36” x 18” designed image in silver paint pen. It’s then framed to give it an approximate total size of 44×24. His signature is deemed authentic by virtue of Upper Deck Authenticated’s Five-Step Process.
