As the number one overall pick in the 2019 OHL Draft, Shane Wright coupled his tenacious scrappiness along with his natural playmaking ability in order to make an immediate impact on the Kingston Frontenacs. At just fifteen years old, Wright electrified the CHL by guiding the Frontenacs to a playoff record after registering 39 goals and 66 points in 58 games, including a remarkable pair of back-to-back two goal performances. Wright’s unprecedented rookie season came with many accolades such as being named an alternate captain, breaking the all-time Kingston Frontenac rookie goals record, and most notably, being named the 2020 CHL Rookie of the Year.
