Shanshan Feng has made an indelible mark on the sport of women’s golf for so many reasons. She joined the LPGA Tour in 2008 after coming to the United States at the age of 17 to attend a junior golf academy in Hilton Head, South Carolina. She left her parents in her native China while barely speaking English. She made history as the first golfer from China to become a member of the LPGA Tour. Five years after making that decision, Feng won her first major championship with a victory in the 2012 Wegmans LPGA Championship at Locust Hill Country Club in Pittsford, New York. It also doubled as her very first win on the LPGA Tour. With the win, she jumped to fifth in the Women’s World Golf Rankings. It wasn’t long after that until she was ranked first, a spot she held for 23 consecutive weeks. Feng has autographed this 2012 LPGA Championship pin flag in black paint pen. Her signature is deemed authentic by virtue of Upper Deck Authenticated’s Five-Step Process.
