Already a star in the making when he was traded to the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim on 2/6/96, Teemu Selanne became an instant celebrity athlete on the west coast. He notched 36 points in 28 games in that half-season in a Ducks sweater and that resulted in the franchise’s first-ever playoff appearance. He would go on to post his second career 100-point season and added two more in the coming years in his first stint in Anaheim.
