Description

Awarded to the PGA Tour leader in scoring average, the Vardon Trophy has been given out by the PGA of America since 1937. It’s named after Bailiwick of Jersey golfing great Harry Vardon, who won The Open Championship a record six times. Woods won the Vardon Trophy for the seventh time in his career in 2007. One of his most impressive wins of that season was his two-stroke win over Woody Austin in the PGA Championship held at Southern Hills Country Club in Tulsa, Oklahoma. After a lackluster opening-round 71, Woods carded a 63 on Friday to tie the record for the lowest single-round score at a major. He held on over the weekend to move to 13-0 in majors when leading or being tied for the lead after 54 holes. Woods physically wrote out the inscription “9x Vardon Trophy” and then UDA got that inscription embroidered directly onto the pin flag. Woods has signed this limited edition (500) 2007 PGA Championship pin flag in black paint pen. His signature is deemed authentic by virtue of Upper Deck Authenticated’s Five-Step Process.
