Description

Heading into the 2008 U.S. Open, Tiger Woods was hobbling with an ailing left knee, an injury that would knock him out for the remainder of the year. Before the weekend was out, Woods would put in one of the most remarkable efforts of his brilliant career. Tied with Rocco Mediate after 72 holes, the duo went to an 18-hole playoff Monday. Mediate held a one-stroke lead heading into the 18th, which saw Woods birdie for the third sudden-death playoff in U.S. Open history. It took only one hole for Woods to claim the championship as he parred the 7th hole while Mediate notched a bogey. It was Woods’ 14th major championship and his most recent. This designed piece features two images of Woods Ð one of him focusing before a putt and one of him following through on the same putt during that epic weekend. The overall designed image is 16″ x 24″ and it’s accompanied to the right by Woods’ signed lithograph Tegata handprint. This is a copy of the original Tegata handprint and not his actual handprint. The lithograph is hand signed by Woods. The overall framed piece measures 20″ x 28″ and is limited to 50 total pieces. Woods has autographed and inscribed “08 U.S. Open Champ” on this limited edition (50) Tegata litho handprint in gold paint pen. His signature is deemed authentic by virtue of Upper Deck Authenticated’s Five-Step Process.
