The 40th NHL All Star game was held February 7, 1989 at the Edmonton Northland Coliseum. This game marked the return of former Edmonton Oiler captain Wayne Gretzky to the city where he had played his entire NHL career. Gretzky, playing for the Campbell Conference was named the game’s MVP after scoring a goal and adding two assists in a 9-5 victory over the Wales Conference. This Mega Ticket is inspired by an authentic ticket from the game, enlarged 500% before being printed on archival canvas and stretch mounted. This 15″x32″x3/4″ Mega Ticket is autographed and inscribed “All Star MVP” in black paint pen by Wayne Gretzky and is deemed authentic by virtue of UDA’s Five Step Authentication Process.
